THE PURPOSE

This is us – Liz (left) and Geneva (right) – the real faces behind Shampoo With A Purpose (not just suspiciously good-looking stock models, promise).

We’re a fun, slightly chaotic, and hard-working mother-daughter duo. Liz has been in the body-care game for over 40 years, running Clover Fields, Australia’s oldest family-owned soap manufacturer. We were the first Aussie company to create non-tallow (animal fat-free) soap and pioneer “naked” packaging-free soap bars back in 1983, before low-waste was trending.

I (Geneva) joined the family biz to bring a fresh perspective, and together we created Shampoo With A Purpose.

We were told it was impossible to process shampoo bars through traditional soap machinery, but Liz made it made it happen.

We became the first (and only) company to run shampoo/conditioner bars through a high-quality triple-mill process. The result? Bars that replace up to six bottles, hold their shape, and don’t turn to mush in your shower.

We spent ages perfecting the formulation – no nasties, no palm oil, no sulphates, no animal by-products.

Just beautiful, naturally lathering, pH-balanced bars made with purpose.

After achieving the "impossible" we had to create our brand - we wanted to do something fun and fresh with a tonne of added personality. Our boxes are covered in hand-drawn art of our friends and family, packed with info and a mission: to make it easy for people to reduce plastic in their daily routine.

Since launching in 2018, we’ve saved millions of plastic bottles from entering landfill, expanded our reach globally, and introduced several purpose-driven ranges: Minimal Essentials, Nightbloom, Head To Toe, and Gym & Swim.
